Disneyland Resort 2001
These pictures are from our trip to the Disneyland Resort in March 2001 just about 2 weeks after the opening of California Adventure. This was a 3 day trip, 2 days in Disneyland and 1 day in California Adventure. There weren't many people at California Adventure the day we were there and several rides were not operating. We got a little rain that day but it really didn't last very long. We ducked into Soarin' Over California to get out of the rain, along with a lot of other people, and by the time we came out of that ride the rain had stopped. The rest of the trip looked like it would rain but it never did. There was a terrible storm in southern California the entire time we were there and it seemed as though it was raining all around us but it never rained on Disneyland while we were there. In fact the drive down took twice as long as the normal 7 hour drive from Reno to LA. There was a miserable snow storm through the mountains. And when we got into LA it was pouring all the way to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel very late that night it had stopped raining. So other that the drive there it was a very fun trip to the new Disneyland Resort.
