Walt Disney World Resort 2010
This was a great trip to Walt Disney World on January 12th through the 19th. We stayed at the Pop Century Resort. Oh, and we did not take any kids this time. It was just me and my wife. We had a very uneventful flight to Orlando and arrived at our resort around 3:00pm. We used the Magical Express and pre-checked into our room so all we had to do when we got to the airport was get on a bus, then we went to the resort and picked up our key. We then headed over to Epcot for the evening. When we got back to our room our luggage was there waiting for us.
It was very relaxing, we got to see all the shows we wanted to see without hearing any whining about being bored. I think my favorite show is probably Finding Nemo the Musical in Animal Kingdom. Of course we had to eat at Ohanas over at the Polynesian Resort. And we finally went to see the luau "Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show" this time. That was a lot of fun. If you get a chance you have to see this show. The show itself was great and the food was awesome.
We got really lucky with the weather. We got there just at the end of some really bad freezing weather. The first day we were there was a little chilly, the next day warmed up a little and was nice in the sun and cool in the shade. The rest of the time was beautiful. We did get rained on late Saturday night and that was only because we stayed late. We had planned on leaving after the fireworks and the parade but instead we went over to Fantasyland for some late night rides on Snow White and Peter Pan. That was when it started pouring. It wasn't cold just wet. The best part was that this particular day I was wearing my Crocs instead of my tennis shoes so walking through the large puddles (lakes) on Main Street wasn't a problem.
